DEF LEPPARD 'Ignored' In England
June 8, 2006According to the World Entertainment News Network, DEF LEPPARD insist they are snubbed by their native Britain, because everyone in the U.K. assumes they are American.
LEPPARD spent most of the 1980s touring America, but they fear their time away has cost them their rightful notoriety back home.
Frontman Joe Elliott says, "The funny thing is, a lot of people actually think we're American. Which is sad, really.
"We've kinda been ignored in England for a long time. We never went away. But in England, if you're not in the top 20, you don't exist."
